The public welfare classroom of sci-fi imagination entered Hong Kong campus for the first time
On July 8th, the "Science Fiction Imagination Public Classroom" of the Science Popularization and Science Fiction Support Program, hosted by the Shenzhen Social Welfare Foundation's SCIENCE & FANTASY GROWTH FOUNDATION (hereinafter referred to as "Science Fiction Fund") and the Hong Kong Science Popularization and Science Fiction Education Center, was successfully held at the Buddhist Chan Shi Hong School in Xianghai Zhengjue Lian Society, Hong Kong (hereinafter referred to as "Chan Shi Hong School"). Science Fiction Public Welfare Ambassador, young writer Lu Banhe, and technology expert Ma Yuepeng were invited as keynote speakers, bringing a wonderful journey of science fiction and technology to over 300 students. Hong Kong Yau Tsim Mong District Councilor Li Jiaxuan, Science Fiction Fund Director Ma Guobin, Chan Shi Hong School Principal Fang Ziheng, Vice Principal Kang Liangyu, Director Cai Zhaoming, and Science Fiction Fund Legal Advisor Xiao Zhengyu jointly attended the event.
At the beginning of the event, Ma Guobin, the director of the Science Fiction Fund, delivered an ebullient speech, expressing great pleasure that the SCIENCE & FANTASY GROWTH FOUNDATION had come to Hong Kong to deliver the "Science Fiction Imagination Public Classroom" to the students. He said that science fiction connects reality and the future, and hoped that the Science Fiction Fund would amplify the charm of science fiction in the form of public welfare, inspire the imagination and creativity of Hong Kong youth, and be able to normalize multi-faceted cooperation with the education sector in Hong Kong.
In his speech, Li Jiaxuan, a member of the Yau Tsim Mong District Council in Hong Kong and a director of the Hong Kong Science Popularization and Science Fiction Education Center, stated that AIGC brings infinite possibilities for cultural innovation. Therefore, the Science Fiction Imagination Public Welfare Classroom was born as the times required. The Xianghai Zhengjue Lianshe Buddhist Chen Shihong School is located at the junction of Shenzhen and Hong Kong, and it hopes to use science fiction to bring a feast of knowledge and imagination to the students on the bridge of cultural integration between the East and the West.
At today's event, Lu Ban, with science fiction as the key, cleverly unlocked the door to technological inspiration, leading Hong Kong students on a journey of interstellar exploration that spans time and space. With his unique humor, coupled with fascinating science stories and personal science fiction exploration experiences, he not only entertained the audience but also deeply touched the students' infinite aspirations for the future.
Technology expert Ma Yuepeng, under the theme of "AI and the Future Together", analyzed to the students present how AI technology can be fully utilized in real-life work scenarios, and ingeniously imparted strategies and techniques for efficient dialogue with AI and making the best of its capabilities. In order to allow the students to personally experience the charm and potential of AI technology, he uniquely set up an interactive session, inviting the students to work together with AI to create, and through practice, deeply feel the infinite possibilities brought by this cutting-edge technology, making AI no longer an unattainable concept, but a tangible partner for shaping the future together.
The atmosphere at the course was lively, with students actively interacting and eagerly asking questions. Lu Ban and Ma Yuepeng patiently answered the students' questions one by one and encouraged them to continue studying science fiction, broaden their horizons, and be brave in innovation.
In this course, the students exhibited unprecedented vigor and enthusiasm in their exploration of the science fiction field. They actively asked questions and participated in discussions, creating a highly interactive and creative learning atmosphere.
